Cazorla

The district's best-known urban reference and a natural starting point for a first visit: Santa María, the Cerezuelo vault, Yedra Castle and the historic centre.

Peal de Becerro

Jándula + art + Tíscar

Quesada

It brings together contemporary culture, painting, poetry, archaeology and nature. The Jándula Route strengthens in 2026 a visitor identity that already included Zabaleta, Miguel Hernández/Josefina Manresa, Tíscar and Bruñel.

  • Very strong for a culture-focused day.
  • Tíscar needs to be treated as an additional outing, not as if it were in the town centre.
  • Combines especially well with Peal/Toya.

Bæcula + river landscape

Santo Tomé

Its role in the guide grows through the connection with the Battle of Bæcula and its territorial relationship with the upper Guadalquivir river corridor.

  • Parque Baécula as an accessible interpretation resource.

Its interest rests on the Guadiana Menor landscape, Turrillas and the archaeological context of Castellones de Ceal. Before travelling, check whether the site is open to visitors and under what conditions.

Huesa

Chilluévar

Its role is to explain the transition between olive groves, countryside and access towards Las Villas, with local heritage and a rural landscape.

  • Resources administratively belonging to other municipalities will not be reassigned to it.
  • It can act as a gateway to plans in Las Villas.
  • Precise, restrained content rather than an inflated entry.
A good example of why “accessible from” does not mean “belongs to”.
Combine

Towns work best in days with a clear logic.

A good combination reduces unnecessary driving and leaves time to enjoy the places. The guide will avoid itineraries built simply to accumulate names.
